University of Melbourne seeks participants

People are now living an average of 30 years longer than we did a century ago. Longer lives bring opportunities to prolong careers, participate in new activities, explore interests and contribute to society. Research provides strong evidence linking museum attendance to health and wellbeing.

Lena Gan, a PhD. Student at the University of Melbourne, is undertaking research to better understand the potential of this link and is seeking Friends of Te Papa members aged between 45 – 95 years to participate. Participation would involve a survey, a museum visit and discussion with the researcher, and a follow up phone call.

The research will be conducted at Te Papa between the 25th of October and the 1st of November, 2018. If you would like to participate, please contact Lena Gan directly at [email protected].
