For two hours on Thursday 14 November our small team, Aloema, Bev, Shona, Gordon, and I and over 20 huge boxes of peonies, squashed into the small control room near the staff entrance, sold 394 bunches of the most glorious white peonies Duchess de Nemours.

The stunning blooms slowly unfurled and released a subtle perfume that filled the house.
As well as being excellent value for money, your support of our peony sale enabled the Friends to raise $400 towards the Friends of Te Papa Acquisition Fund.
