Join us for our September local gallery tour to the Petone Foreshore. Our first stop is the Alfred Memelink 'Artspace Gallery'. Here, Alan Collins will introduce us to his new solo exhibition Alan Collins Watercolours.

Curator Justine Olsen will show how contemporary artists have used ancient ideas, colours, materials, and techniques – reminding us that the past is still relevant today.

A number of ‘avant-garde’ artists are considered... there is a bias in this lecture towards British artists... however, French, German and Italian artists’ works are discussed and compared to see what the national and stylistic differences were.
