Join us for our September local gallery tour to the Petone Foreshore.
Our first stop is the Alfred Memelink Artspace Gallery at 223 The Esplanade.
Petone Settlers’ Museum
Here, Alan Collins will introduce us to his new solo exhibition Alan Collins Watercolours. The exhibition showcases over 30 paintings featuring scenes from Pencarrow through to Kapiti. Alan, in his 90th youthful year, is an elected Artist member of the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts and a member of Watercolour New Zealand.
Following morning tea at the gallery, we will make our way along to the newly refurbished Petone Settlers’ Museum.
Only recently reopened, the museum has undergone significant changes both inside and out. We will view, in our own time, the revamped exterior (returning the building to its original look and colour) and the new exhibits on display.
