Over the past half-century, McLeavey has known, exhibited, befriended, fought with and championed a who’s who of New Zealand artists – including Colin McCahon, Toss Woollaston, and many more.

In this talk, Jill pays particular attention to McLeavey’s dealings with McCahon and the NationalArtGallery during the 1970s and 1980s.
