This is a rare chance to go inside the Old Public Trust building which is currently undergoing a significant seismic upgrade. You’ll get a fascinating glimpse of the original structure of this remarkable building completed in 1908 and an understanding of the work required to transform it into a top-notch building of today. When the work is finished, the office floors will house the Ministry of Culture and Heritage and the ground floor a Jamie Oliver restaurant.
Maurice Clark, Managing Director, McKee Fehl Construction Ltd, who will lead the tour of the building, says you’ll need to be agile enough to get around a work-site which includes many steps.
