Bees are important to us all – they pollinate the flowering plants which are a source of our food.

In response to the growing interest in bees, urban beekeeping, honey and the impact of monoculture and pollination, Rhys Flack, Export Manager, Arataki Honey will talk about the importance of bees, the beekeeping season and what is done through the year to maximise production and keep the hives healthy.

In business for 70 years Arataki Honey is the most popular honey on the domestic market – a market which continues to evolve, with increasing demands on specifications, standards and traceability.

Through marriage, Rhys Flack is a family member of the company founders and for the last eight years has been working in sales and marketing.

Honey tasting will be included and a special ‘on the day’ discount will be offered for honey sales in Te Papa Store.

Registration required. To register, use the ‘Book now’ button or phone the office on (04) 381 7051.
