Be the first to see Brickman Wonders of the World, part of Te Papa’s Lets Go Build Festival for LEGO® Lovers. This display will open to the public on Saturday 9 December.
One of only 14 LEGO Certified Professionals globally, Ryan McNaught (aka Brickman) brings the world’s most iconic landmarks made exclusively from LEGO bricks to Te Papa.
Ryan and his team spent 5,000 hours building the 50 LEGO masterpieces on display including the Taj Mahal, Michelangelo’s Statue of David, the Great Wall of China, Empire State Building, complete with King Kong, Leaning Tower of Pisa and Arc de Triomphe.
But it’s not just looking – there will be plenty of hands-on opportunities to pick up some bricks and get building yourself.
The preview is members only (plus children or grandchildren under 15). You will be asked to show your current membership card for free entry. If you wish to bring a non-member, they can join at the entry and attend the preview.
Come anytime between the preview hours 2.30pm – 5pm. No need to register to attend.
Exhibition tickets are already on sale through Ticketek. For the Friends concession entry price enter ‘Friends’ in the promotion code when purchasing. (You will be asked to show your membership card when entering the exhibition.)
