Come and join us for Round Two with the Natural History team of Te Papa at Tory Street for this Curator’s Pick. What fantastic stories about these species will they share with us?
Felix Marx (Curator Vertebrates) will take you down into the dungeons to show off our weird and wonderful collection of whales, dolphins and seals. Warning: watch out for the unicorn!
Phil Sirvid (Assistant Curator Invertebrates) will be talking about New Zealand’s endemic harvestmen, a group of weird and wonderful looking arachnids that most people have never heard of.
Belinda Alvarez (Collection Manager of Marine Invertebrates) will introduce you to the world of sponges, including some species you might use in the bath and some you definitely won’t! She’ll illustrate with examples of New Zealand species.
Ticket includes talk and a glass of wine.
Please gather in the foyer of Tory Street Te Papa by 4.15 in good time for us to move through the building.
