Visit: Enduring friendships: A Hei Tiki Talk

Join Dougal Austin (Kāti Māmoe, Kāi Tahu, Waitaha) Kura Pounamu Senior Curator Mātauranga
Māori from Te Papa Tongarewa Museum of New Zealand in a korero and kapu tī. You will learn about
the various forms and features of our most ubiquitous taonga from the author of the enigmatic
Te Hei Tiki (2019) book.

This talk will be followed by morning tea in the Helen Smith Room.

Location: Pātaka Art + Museum in Porirua. 

Parking & Public Transport:

The Te Rauparaha Arena carpark behind and adjacent to Pātaka has free, 3 hour parking for people
attending events at Pātaka.

Pātaka is within walking distance from the railway station, or 230 and 236 buses from the
railway station stop outside.
