NatureWatch NZ – Friends’ Tutorial (i)

Thursday 23 April 2015, 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

$10

Would you like to learn how to use the NatureWatch NZ citizen science website?  Use it to learn more about the animals, fungi, and plants you see, and help document New Zealand’s biodiversity. Science Curator Leon Perrie will take you through how to use the NatureWatch website in Te Papa’s computer training room.

The DeCLASSIFIED! Nature’s secrets exposed at Te Papa exhibition is using the NatureWatch platform in its spider and fern citizen science projects.  By contributing, you can learn more from Te Papa’s spider and fern experts and help them with their research.  Your photo might feature in the exhibition.  Maybe you will even find a new species!

To participate in a workshop you will need:

  • a digital photo you have taken of either a spider or fern (or anything living), brought to the workshop on a memory stick/USB drive.
  • to think about a username and password for personalising your use of the NatureWatch website.

Numbers are limited – registration required. To register, use the ‘Book now’ button or phone the office on (04) 381 7051.
