There are a few places still available.

Peace, tranquility and intrigue.  Let an expert tour guide take you on a themed tour of Karori Cemetery.
Karori Cemetery represents and reflects the development of Wellington city from 1891 onwards, through two world wars, the 1918 ‘flu epidemic, and the economic depression of the 1930’s. It was in the forefront of the movement away from burial to cremation, and the crematorium built in the grounds in 1909 demonstrates this strikingly, being the first in the southern hemisphere.

The tour includes viewing the fabulous stained glass windows of Wilhelmina Geddes in the Small Chapel, the windows that were a highlight of Irish Arts and Crafts specialist Dr Joseph McBrinn’s recent visit to Wellington.   Altogether, there are seven stained glass windows in the Small Chapel, six of them were designed and built in the An Tur Gloine (Tower of Glass) factory in Dublin. The windows were made by artists Wilhelmina Geddes, Michael Healy and Hubert McGoldrick between 1914-1939.
