His Excellency Wang Lutong, Ambassador for China, invites Friends of Te Papa and guests to a very special reception for the Friends of Te Papa at the Chinese Embassy’s Great Hall of the People.   This is also a celebration of the opening of the two exhibitions from the National Museum of China, Shi Lu: A revolution in paint and China: Throne of Emperors.

Also included is a magnificent Chinese buffet dinner prepared by the embassy’s own highly regarded chefs, offering you a great chance to enjoy authentic cuisine.

The Committee of the Friends of Te Papa are delighted to offer members this opportunity to enjoy Chinese culture and hospitality, widen understandings of China, and enhance the growing ties of friendship.

This unique gala evening is the major fundraiser for the Friends of Te Papa’s 2014 gifting programme. Attendees will receive a tax receipt for the donation content of the total cost.
