Te Papa recently opened Hīnātore | Learning Lab, its new state of the art learning lab and we are offering you the opportunity to come and see what an innovative high tech learning environment is all about. Head of Learning Innovation, Miri Young says “Hīnātore offers rich learning experiences to a wide range of visitors in an incredibly inspiring space. The range of technologies in the lab allows us all to learn in completely new ways.”
Te Papa’s collections, exhibitions and taonga are at the heart of Hīnātore’s learning programmes, allowing you to experience anything from voyaging the Pacific in vaka, to creating digital art in an immersive world.
Hīnātore | Learning Lab offers programmes to schools, school holiday programmes and learning programmes for all ages and is equipped with a VR (Virtual Reality) studio, 3D printers, 3D scanners, and touch tables.
Following an introduction from Miri Young, you will have your chance to enjoy a dynamic hands-on experience with help from the Learning Lab Team.
Refreshments will be offered after the session. Numbers are limited and booking is essential.
