We regret this event is cancelled but do take time to see the exhibitions before they close on Sunday 22 June. The exhibitions are exclusive to Te Papa and will return directly to China. They are well worth seeing.
Martin Patrick in the latest New Zealand Listener writes: “The dual historical exhibitions of Chinese art currently on view at Te Papa are well worth seeing, although I fear they might be overlooked, misinterpreted as dry academic exercises. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but both exhibitions are so rich in detailed information, gorgeous objects and captivating imagery that I soon became totally enthralled.” (Read the full article in the May 24 2014 issue.)
A fabulous ‘exclusive viewing’ evening has been arranged for you. In your own time you will be able to view both exhibitions, enjoy a selection of substantial canapés, a complimentary glass of wine, and have access to a cash bar.
Curators will present short ‘hot spot’ talks scheduled throughout the evening in both exhibitions.
Make an evening of it, come with friends or catch up with others in a convivial and stimulating setting. Free parking included or a concierge will be available to order your taxi. It will be a memorable evening to enjoy and view art.
