Sunday, 16 November 2025
Start your day with a relaxed breakfast at your own pace, before we embark on a fascinating guided tour of the Dunedin Gasworks Museum, where you’ll discover the story of New Zealand’s first and last gasworks. The Dunedin Gasworks Museum is a heritage site in South Dunedin that preserves New Zealand’s first and last municipal gasworks, which operated from 1863 to 1987.
One of the few gasworks museums in the world, it features restored steam engines, historic machinery, and displays on early gas technology.
The afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure – take the time to unwind or, for the more adventurous, explore the charming streets surrounding the hotel.
The Dunedin Railway Station, opened in 1906, is a landmark of Edwardian Baroque architecture and one of New Zealand’s most photographed buildings. Designed by George Troup, it features black basalt and white limestone, a grand mosaic-tiled hall, and a 37-metre clock tower.
In the evening, we’ll head to the Tūhura Otago Museum for an enriching guided tour, followed by an awe-inspiring planetarium show. Tūhura Otago Museum in Dunedin is a leading cultural and science museum featuring galleries on natural history, Māori culture, and Pacific heritage.

Monday, 17 November 2025
Begin your day with a leisurely breakfast, we then spend a delightful afternoon discovering the stunning Larnach Castle. Indulge in a traditional Victorian High Tea and take a relaxing stroll through the castle’s enchanting gardens. Larnach Castle, New Zealand’s only castle, sits on the Otago Peninsula near Dunedin. Built in 1871 by William Larnach, it features grand architecture, 43 rooms, and stunning gardens. After years of neglect, it was restored by the Barker family from 1967 and is now open to the public.

Tuesday, 18 November 2025
After a delicious breakfast, we’ll meet with our expert tour guide for a Half-Day Art Gallery & Creative Spaces Tour, featuring visits to the renowned Brett McDowell Gallery and Milford Gallery. Next, enjoy a stroll to the Octagon, where you can savour lunch at one of the many charming cafes along the strip.
In the afternoon, we’ll visit the Dunedin Public Art Gallery (DPAG) for a curated experience, followed by a stop at the Hocken Library’s art stack—an absolute treasure trove of artistic wonders.
The day concludes with an elegant dinner at the historic Olveston House, a stunning Jacobean-style mansion designed by Ernest George in the early 20th century for the Theomin family. Olveston House is a historic mansion in Dunedin, New Zealand, built in 1906 for merchant David Theomin. Richly furnished and equipped with modern features for its time, it became a museum in 1967 after being gifted to the city.

• Except as required by law (and to the minimum extent required by law), neither party shall be liable to the other for any indirect, or consequential losses, costs or damages that arise out of, or that are in connection with, any duty or obligation under these Terms and Conditions, or any duty or obligation at law.
