Hilary Kay filming on Antiques Roadshow

Hilary Kay’s obsession with antiques began when she was a child. She joined Sotheby’s in 1977 and, the following year, became Sotheby’s youngest-ever auctioneer at age 21. She went on to hold the position of Senior Director, running departments as diverse as motor cars and musical instruments. Hilary is one of the most familiar faces on BBC TV’s long-running Antiques Roadshow  – she joined the programme in 1978. She is now an independent consultant, broadcaster, lecturer, and writer on the subjects of antiques and collectables. Presented in association with Wellington Decorative and Fine Arts Society.
