The entire conservatory is closed and completely stripped out. Every primary and secondary structural element has either been replaced or carefully sandblasted and repainted. It’s a remarkable transformation in motion — an exciting moment for all things Begonia.

Dan McGuinness is a Director and General Manager of L T McGuinness, a Wellington‑based family firm employing more than 300 people. Alongside his leadership in the construction sector, Dan is actively involved in community initiatives and industry organisations. His work was most recently recognised at the Commercial Project Awards, where he and his team received the Supreme Over $10 Million Award for their work on Te Matapihi ki te Ao Nui (Wellington Central Library). Judges praised the project for its technical sophistication, its challenging strengthening work, and its achievement of a 5 Green Star rating — all delivered on time and on budget.
