In Bloom Curator's Talk

  • Toi Art, Level 5, Te Papa 55 Cable Street Wellington, Wellington Region, 6011 New Zealand (map)

*Fully Booked* In Bloom celebrates the art of painting flowers.

A humble genre, flower still lifes are strongly rooted in the domestic realm and are most often associated with women artists. Join Dr Rebecca Rice, Senior Curator Art, in the gallery to hear how the artists in this exhibition engage with flower painting to explore the sensual pleasures of the natural world and to experiment with colour, line and form.
